This non-interactive installation generates three and a half minute pieces of cut-up music including video by mixing four channels of high-definition video and audio in realtime according to a random but not arbitrary progression. Breakup creates an audiovisual mesh-up of source material taken from a rehersal of instrumentalists from the Staatskapelle Halle, a Singer (René Kuschmann) and clapping/snipping hands.
